The Client

Data Vault User Group is a community for data engineers with a specific focus on the Data Vault data warehousing methodology. They host an annual conference, regular virtual meetups with industry-leading speakers, and an online forum.

The Context

I played a key role in planning, marketing, and delivering two annual in-person events for the Data Vault User Group (2023 & 2024) in London, with ~150 attendees each year. Working across content, marketing, and event delivery, I helped bring structure, creativity, and conversion to the full campaign.

Event Marketing Implementation

✅ I led the content and email marketing strategy for both events.

✅ I helped structure the event schedule and manage day-by-day logistics.

✅ I collaborated on an event landing page (WordPress), repurposing visual content from the previous year.

✅ I created multi-channel campaigns across email, social, paid media (Facebook, Google, LinkedIn) and direct outreach.

✅ I designed event branding assets including signage, slide decks, and printed brochures.

✅ I served as a frontline staff member, signing in attendees, helping them navigate the event, and supporting sponsors.

The Result

~150 tickets sold

All six sponsors successfully captured leads on-site using vFairs mobile app, with strong feedback on ease of use.

The marketing content I produced was repurposed post-event across the brand’s website and social channels.

Built a repeatable playbook the team can use for future events.
