The Client
Datavault is a B2B consultancy helping clients build agile, modern data analytics services. They are the leading consultancy on the Data Vault 2.0 method, with large blue-chip clients across multiple sectors delivering cost-effective solutions and dramatic results.
The Problem
Datavault had over 2,000 email contacts and 70+ whitepapers, but no follow-up. Leads would download and disappear. No nurturing, no segmentation, and no signal to sales.
Email Marketing Strategy Implementation
✅ I built custom signup forms for every whitepaper, so we could track exactly where each lead came from.
✅ I designed automated email sequences (3-5 emails per download) to guide leads from initial interest to sales awareness.
✅ Each sequence started with a download link, followed by an invitation to join our community, then an email offering context and insights related to the whitepaper, and finally an email connecting our services to the specific pain points covered in the download.
✅ I set up engagement tagging so leads who opened or clicked could be flagged for the sales team to follow up.
✅ I build a repeatable process so future whitepapers could be added tot he automation with minimal effort.
The Result
Lead engagement increased
For the first time, sales had visibility into which leads were actively engaging, with clear signals for who to contact.
The system created a simple, scalable model that turned one-off downloads into long-term lead nurturing flows.
106
Warm leads were generated in the first month of launch.
23%
Email click-through rate on all emails (industry average ~2-5%).
36%
Leads were tagged as engaged and flagged for sales follow-up.
